What we offer you
Our employees are our flagship. They are the ones who make us successful as a company. And they are also the ones who maintain networks, look after customers, analyze markets, optimize products and know exactly where the shoe pinches. We show our appreciation with numerous social benefits, among other things.
Our Social Benefits
Canteen
You are what you eat. We see it that way, too. That's why the Hanover-based canteen professional Essenszeit runs our employee canteen. Look forward to varied and appetizing dishes in excellent restaurant quality as well as ingredients from organic farms and direct producers in the region.
Childcare subsidy
Your little ones are very close to our hearts. We support you with extensive operating subsidies for the crèche and kindergarten period. The monthly subsidy for the day nursery is EUR 100.00. During the kindergarten period, we cover the cost of your child's monthly meal allowance; the kindergarten fee itself is free of charge in Lower Saxony.
Collective bargaining partners IG Metall
Our collective bargaining partner is the Lower Saxony Metalworkers' Union (IGM). This means that our basic working conditions are governed by collective agreements. We pay our salaries according to the IG Metall collective bargaining system, which also includes various special payments. We also have other benefits at Deutsche Messe, such as job security until 2027 or the conversion of special payments into time off.
Continuing education
Excellently qualified, satisfied and motivated employees are the flagship of every company. To help you develop professionally and personally the way you want, we have a variety of options for you. Training or seminar, specialist or management career, retraining or a special additional qualification, further education in your free time or or. We offer you comprehensive opportunities to develop and grow in the process - just the way you want.
Corporate Benefits
We have entered into individual cooperation agreements with various companies, giving you the opportunity to shop at lower prices. The offer ranges from home and craftsmen's supplies to classic retail stores and baby and toddler markets.
Employer-funded company pension plan
The Zusatzversorgungskasse der Stadt Hannover (ZVK) is our partner for you when it comes to "thinking about tomorrow today". We pay a fixed percentage of your monthly gross salary to the ZVK. This means that you will receive a Deutsche Messe company pension when you retire.
Flexible working hours
Flexibility is a reality at our company - a lot is possible with us, either full-time or with one of our various part-time models. Our flexitime system also gives you a high degree of personal flexibility. Our in-house collective agreement (collective bargaining partner is the Lower Saxony Metalworkers' Union) stipulates a weekly working time of 37 hours in full-time, part-time arrangements can be individually negotiated and designed accordingly.
Good transport connections
Hanover is a city of short and direct distances. Most of the time, you can be where you want to be in 15-20 minutes. The trade fair center is no exception. Strategically well located, we can be reached from all four directions by car via the trade fair expressway (A37) and via federal highway 65. Hannover Langenhagen Airport is also part of the 15-minute axis. Hanover's light rail system takes 18 minutes from Hanover's main train station to the trade fair grounds.
Home Office
We are convinced that a good work-life balance for all employees makes a significant contribution to the company's success. That is why modern working models are very important to us. Our employees have the opportunity to work from home up to four days a week, provided that working conditions permit.
Deutschlandticket
Deutsche Messe offers you the Deutschlandticket in cooperation with the Hanover public transport company ÜSTRA.
Sabbatical
People need time off. Sometimes they want to take longer than the collectively agreed 30-day annual leave. Sabbatical periods are also possible with us and can be agreed individually.
Trade fair free tickets
All employees receive two free tickets to almost every trade show, which may be passed on in private.
