The public transport system enables smooth arrival at and departure from our trade fair events. As a rule, over half / almost two thirds of our guests use buses and trains to and from the exhibition grounds and thus rely on sustainable mobility.

A total of four streetcar and two bus lines stop directly in front of the individual entrances. Located directly at the gates of the West 1 entrance, the Hannover Messe/Laatzen ICE railway station provides optimal long-distance travel connections. Deutsche Bahn's best-price event ticket gives our customers the opportunity to travel to Hannover by train with 100-percent green electricity, besides which bahn.business compensates for the indirect emissions generated in the upstream and downstream process. This means that arrival and departure with Deutsche Bahn long-distance rail transport is carbon-neutral.

Bicycles are the main means of transport on our site during our events. A fleet of 300 bikes enables us to quickly get from one end of the site to the other – even during an ongoing trade fair. Deliveries of fresh goods and beverages to our catering stations are done with cargo bikes. In addition, attendees of HANNOVER MESSE have the opportunity to get from A to B carbon-neutrally by e-shuttle or e-bus during our events. Further expansion of these mobility options is being planned.

E-vehicles can be conveniently charged on our parking areas at the permanently installed type 2 charging stations with a charging capacity of 22 kW each. There are also a further ten mobile charging connections that can be put into operation depending on requirements and site/parking space occupancy.

Especially during trade fairs and other events, there can be a great deal more traffic on the roads in peak periods. We recommend our guests to use the free-of-charge and ad-free app NUNAV.
